EventMover provides comprehensive transportation services, some of which are not traditionally furnished by van line, air or ocean cargo freight agents. As a licensed transportation and distribution service provider (MCL 428184), EventMover is authorized to move freight with any licensed carrier. However, booking the cheapest carrier is not always in the best interest of the customer. In order to maintain our high standards and assure the safety of every shipment, we carefully screen and qualify all of our shipping partners.

Whenever we encounter a new type of shipment that requires a different carrier – one outside of our existing pool – we first contact the potential partner and screen them by phone. If they have the right equipment for the job, we exchange contracts for mutual review. At this stage, EventMover examines the carrier’s certificate of insurance and FMCSA-issued MC number, which indicates how long they have been in business. We also evaluate their existing business contacts and run additional background checks, as needed. If the carrier meets our stringent requirements, we ask them to sign our contract and provide us with a federal tax ID number. Once we are completely satisfied with every aspect of our review, we provide shipment details to the carrier. Shipping partners who continue to live up to our high standards become preferred EventMover vendors, and we can readily book them for similar loads in the future.
