As we launch our blog, and in the spirit of the season, we’d like to take a moment to give thanks to one of the most underappreciated groups of professionals in the transportation industry. Far too often, the men and women who make shipments happen go unnoticed.   Truck drivers spend most days on the open road and seldom have an opportunity to hear a welcoming word.  Instead of hearing, “Where is my freight?” or “Why are you late?” how awesome would it be for them to hear “Thank You”?  It has been my experience that a thank you can lighten any situation and show appreciation to another human being. So the next time your shipment is delivered – whether under normal or stressful conditions – remember to say thank you. You’ll make the driver’s day. And the smile you get back will probably make your day as well.
